BIO

Originally from Austin, Texas, Curtis moved to Dallas to attend the rigorous B.F.A. Acting Program at Southern Methodist University. He went on to attend and graduate from the higher education curriculum at Oure College of Performing Arts in Denmark, making him the first American to be accepted into this program.

During his time studying in Denmark, he toured Europe with Vanddansen Company led by Ingrid Kristensen. Curtis continued his career as both a performer and teaching artist in Nuuk, Greenland after graduation. He was featured as a choreographer and performer in the Greenlandic Broadcasting Corporation’s nationally televised Christmas spectacular. His love of teaching led him to teach Voice for Actors and Song Repertoire at the National Theatre of Greenland while teaching at Qiajuk Studios, Greenland's premier dance studio.

Curtis’s career brought him back to the United States where he appeared Off-Broadway as Warden in the Joe Hill Revival (original company) and was scouted to model for a worldwide new product launch for L'Oréal. In addition, Curtis has modeled for Broadway Dance Center and Carol’s Daughter all within his first year of moving to New York City.

When not performing, Curtis promotes the importance of arts education and hopes to continue to share his knowledge and experience as a professional teaching artist.
